Joey was naughty when he was w/o his leash!

A Day Without A Leash

One summer day I woke up, played some video games, watched tv, like the kid next door.  It was fun until my Uncle took my dog Joey out.  He was just walking figure 8's the first minute.  The last 20 minutes, we thought he ran back in when we didn't see him.  But I guess we were wrong - Joey was trotting down the street.  My cousins and I looked everywhere.  Around the corner and every place we're not allowed to go.  Once we checked everywhere, we went to Uncle Gino and said " we didn't find him, we can't find him," and my heart was beating and I was thinking about how it would be like without Joey.  After I told Uncle Gino we couldn't find him, I said to myself, "why did Uncle Gino take him out without a leash?"

And I started telling everybody what I thought in my head about the leash.  Then we looked again to see if we were uncorrect and asked this lady, "have you seen a white, fluffy dog, which is a Bichon Frise?"  She said, "I think I saw him go down near Ridgefield Park."  We went to look for him over there but we didn't see him.  Then we asked a man, "Have you seen a white, fluffy dog?"  He said, "Yes, I have."  Then he asked, "what, you guys lost a dog?"  After he said that, I went to Uncle Gino and said, "we asked a man and a lady if they had seen a white, fluffy dog, and the lady said 'I think he went down to Ridgefield' and the man said the same thing as the lady."

After that we told Uncle Gino what the people we saw had to say and we told them and Uncle Gino said, "I'm going down to Ridgefield."  Then he hopped in his car.  He drove a mile and looked a while.  And when he came back we were like, "Did you get him?!! Did you get him?!"  And Uncle Gino said, "He's in the house under Zachary's bed."  And I felt bad for Joey because he got punished.  Joey knew he was in trouble and he knew why.  Then my heart trembled with joy because Joey got rescued.  Once we got in the house, Uncle Gino came in.  I said, "where was he?"  He said, "He was near Adam's house."  Then I started petting Joey and kissing him.

Joey is a really cute dog. And Bichon Frises are really an expensive breed.  Anyone who isn't honest would want to steal him.  That's why the day Joey spent without a leash was so serious.
